The Chinese Calligraphy workshop was quite a success. It’s our honor to have Jane Wang, an amazing Chinese calligraphy artist, to introduce this great art to both Chinese and native American students.
Jane started with the overview of Chinese calligraphy style and history, then she moved to explain the materials we need, like Chinese brush, Chinese ink, Chinese art paper and so on. The most amazing part is that Jane did the demonstration in front of all the participants on the black board.
During the practicing part, all the participants were very concentrated and devoted to write their own Chinese calligraphy “福” (fortune and happiness). Jane also provided everyone with the most professional instructions.
Thanks to Jane, all the participants, no matter where they are from, know the great Chinese culture better.
Join us to make delicious dumplings by yourselves!
Time: February 19th (Friday), 3:00pm-6:00pm
Location: Sansom East (Underground)
